Taking the quiz
Suggestions are a starting point for students who don't know where to begin.
Students take a short, reflective quiz to get suggested videos and careers. It's a route into discovery, not an answer or recommendation about what they should do.
Exploring suggestions
After completing the quiz, students get a list of suggested videos and careers to explore.
They can take the quiz as many times as they like to get different questions and different suggestions.
Suggestions are based on what a job involves day to day rather than the industry it sits in, so a hospital administrator can appear alongside office roles rather than healthcare ones.
Things to know
- The Resources section includes a classroom activity for Getting started with Suggestions.
- Completing the quiz counts as student activity, so it appears in the Engagement report and in Gatsby reports.
- The suggestions quiz is based on the established Holland RIASEC model, but we deliberately keep the emphasis on the suggested videos and careers rather than the personality type.
